A Horse Poem for #WorldPoetryDay March 21st, 2016

He & Her

(by: A. Dinga age 15)

His muscles so tight

His bones never weak

His definition and compostion

His temperament so sweet

His red smooth coat

His copper penny shine

His tiny feet walk every line

His trust in her is great

His mommy always near

His friend for always

Her companion for life

He first came and it was a challenge

He doesn’t like the trailer

He goes inside for his mommy

He overcomes his every fear for her

He walks, trots and lopes for her

He can stop on a dime

His trust in others slowly grows

His four feet click and stumble

His mane pulled straight

His tail left long

He whispers in the wind

He’s silent in the night.
